SisterFriend Young Advocates Scholarship

At SisterFriend, we believe in the power of education, advocacy, and action. That’s why we are proud to introduce the SisterFriend Young Advocates Scholarship, a $1,000 award designed to support young advocates dedicated to advancing menstrual health education, promoting menstrual equity, and breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation.

This scholarship is open to high school seniors, college students, or young professionals passionate about creating lasting change in their communities. Whether focused on awareness campaigns, research, community engagement, or leadership in the menstrual health space, this scholarship can help you continue your journey.

Menstrual equity is a global issue that affects millions of people, and the need for greater awareness and advocacy has never been more pressing. The SisterFriend Founder’s Menstrual Advocacy Scholarship is designed to encourage the next generation of leaders to stand up for menstrual health rights and help break down barriers that prevent people from accessing the products and education they need.

This scholarship is an investment in future leaders who are committed to ensuring that menstruation is not a barrier to education, health, or personal growth.

Scholarship Details

• Award Amount: $1,000

• Scholarship Deadline: April 30th each year

• Award Date: May 28th – World Menstrual Hygiene Day

• Application Open To: High school seniors, college students, and young professionals

 

Application Requirements

To apply for the SisterFriend Founder’s Menstrual Advocacy Scholarship, applicants must submit:

1. A completed application form.

2. A personal statement (500 words max) explaining their passion for menstrual health, any advocacy or community service work they’ve done related to menstrual equity, and how they plan to continue supporting menstrual health in the future.

3. A letter of recommendation from a mentor, teacher, or community leader who can speak to the applicant’s character and involvement in menstrual health initiatives.

4. An unofficial transcript or proof of enrollment for the current academic year.

1. Complete the application form from the link below.

2. Complete the application and submit your personal statement, letter of recommendation, and transcript to tamara@sisterfriend.org.

3. All applications must be received by April 30th to be considered.
